Hey hey hello!

So what is going on in the life of Jonathan? Quite alot. I’m currently editing a movie for Obscure Vision showcasing their concert at this year’s russeball.  I’m also building an Arduinome 256, and have bought the main (expensive) parts and will be slowly trying to finish that monster of a button box. I also have some pictures from yesterday that I will try to get done with tonight.

Tomorrow I’m leaving for a well deserved R&R (isn’t that what they call it?). I’m going to Austria to do some skiing with the family and some other Danish friends. This should be awesome fun. Jäegerbombs, Hot chocolate with Rum and lots and lots of beer and wine. How is that not awesome?

And I got my iPhone 3G today. It’s white and cool, with a brain size of 16gb. I’m in love. I’ll call her Charlize. I saw Æon Flux yesterday again.. Charlize Theron is way too hot.

I will hopefully have internet at the hotel so I can keep in touch. I will try.

Trentemøller - Miss you

Literally one of the best songs ever made. Got a chance to see his concert at Roskilde last year really close, complete with Glow sticks and drenched in water and glow stick fluid. Yes I was having a good time.

I went to Oslo Fashion Week today and  caught two runways fairly close, good seats for the price we payed = Nada nothing. I felt a little out of place amongst the fashion addicts, they were on a whole other level than I am. We saw a boy wear high heels and girl jeans and a singlet. It was awkward.

Side note: the 8 main parts for my Monome clone has been ordered, and some of the smaller stuff ordered to get myself started. Its gonna be about the same size as two pieces of A4 paper beside eachother. It’s going to be colossal, i’m excited.

I have been talking and featuring alot of videos that include the use of Monomes, for this I am sorry. But, I am cooking something up. I lately discovered something called an Arduinome. It is basically a Monome clone based on a Board called Arduino.

Yes, I am going to try and make my own…. Arduinome 256!! That’s correct, 256 buttons. It will cost around 1000 bucks but I will learn something in creating it, and it will be about 600 bucks cheaper than trying to buy an original Monome 256. And mine will be custom containing the LED color of my liking and the Enclosure of my liking, I will maybe even try to add some Knobs and/or Faders. But I need to learn how to solder first.

I will post more information soon. for now I will stay abit secretive.

This guy is my hero. I love Daedelus. Therefore I bring you this awesome live mix on the beautiful Monome 256 launching (mixing clips) but also doing some midi keyboard work I think, he has a Monome 64 launching effects using the inbuilt accelerometer. Awesome stuff.

Other news:

I’ve begun editing a short movie putting spotlight on my friends in the band Obscure Vision - hopefully it will be done soon, also on Wednesday I will be going to Oslo for Oslo Fashion Week and I will try to snap some photos, in between the shopping.

Ohh do I have a gift for you! I’m so pumped up right now. Stoked!

I listened to some Death Cab For Cutie today, and they always blow my mind (They are Jonathan’s favorite band)

Live song from the studio, awesomely played though! LOVE IT.

I talked about a movie called Mononoke-hime a couple of days ago. It looked pretty awesome so I rented it - It was totally the best anime/animated movie I’ve ever seen. I went old school and saw it in japanese. English subtitles of course, I suck at languages - But I do want to live in Japan for a couple of years.

One week till my travels to Austria begin! Stoked to get some skiing/drinking/photographing/filming done in some new scenery. I really don’t know why Danish people get such a bad reputation at skiresorts, we bring the party during Afterski!
